well we did plan a real flying visit mainly because we usually prefer people watching to visiting monuments, but this turned out to be seriously impressive!
never seen such well preserved temples , possibly because apparently there literally aren't any better preserved !
We actually really surprised ourselves by enjoying not only the sights but also the audio guide which was both informative and interesting, we must be getting old! October weather was perfect for this , bright and sunny and 23'c, we felt that visiting in the height of summer must be intolerable?
Louise was impressed at the statue of icarus, fallen to the ground for flying too close to the sun, limbs missing, wings scorched, but genitalia perfectly preserved. A quick medical examination was apparently called for !
