Louise carefully explained to an Italian gelato vendor how to make affogato, then complained that pouring the espresso into the cup and adding the icecream after was the wrong way around ... welcome to my world!!!
our morning took in the Duomo do Monreale, we were hustled by a cab driver - if you are going to Monreale, please go by bus ! His pitch didn't include the flea bites we both sustained, or the monologue about his pregnant wife.... the return journey cheek by jowl with an entire bus load of apparently COVID stricken pilgrims was luxurious by comparison.
On our return we fancied a little bar action and a recommendation for Taverna Azzurra proved too much for us...
Reality again slightly at odds with expectation:

Wandered, drank vino bianco, people watched, siesta'd, and supper by the cathdral in La Gallaria - great wine bar, fabulous pasta .. tomorrow Cefalù
